i am reading 7 different books at the same time. save me.

Drudging through the (necessary and appreciated) context at the beginning. It's definitely helpful as exposition but my eyes are glazing over a bit, made it some ways past the start though! I put it on pause to read another book recently.

Really interesting so far, approaches psychology of trauma through a neurological lens, helps it feel a lot more grounded and logical than most psychology literature does.

This Iago character has. Issues. The mans literally told Othello that he was in bed with Cassio because he couldn't sleep and NO one blinked an eye. Like HELLO? Now I know this doesn't take place in Rome so someone please tell me why Iago keeps professing his love to both Cassio and Othello and flat out doing the gayest shit. I can't do this anymore

I just finished Act 2 Scene 1 and im SO very sure that Iago has like. ISSUES.
1) He is constantly convinced that everyone is fucking his wife except his side piece, Roderigo, for which he constantly proclaims his love.
2) He REALLY is just slandering Desdemona because he’s jealous of the fact that Othello is married to her
3) He can’t accept the fact that he has a crush on othello and therefore becomes racist

The amount of bitter gay coding that in this book is unbelievable and leads me to believe that Shakespeare himself was a closeted homosexual
