the prose is trying so hard to be interesting that it just circles around to being boring

plot-wise it’s pretty good so far, the first chapters were great and i’ve enjoyed the slow build up to the actual plot from then on, but the prose is definitely a huge step down from the filigree street duology

fuck goodreads challenges forever man i just want this to be done

for the entire story so far to depend on how amazing this novel within in a novel is supposed to be you’d think those chapters would be slightly better than barely readable

i have six days to finish this until my next lit class i think i might be cooked guys
