Alright so we've already established that the definition of pair, per the real life USFSA, is NOT one male and one female skater but for competition purposes pairs must compete against other pairs of the same composition. Which I agree with and I don't think bringing the ACLU into this would change much.

Great question! If this was Canada we can pretty easily say yes (assuming this is set after 2022 which... who knows at this point), but per the current USFSA rulebook "In pair skating competitions, only pairs of the same composition (woman and man, two women or two men) may
compete against each other" (Rule 7020)

So.... kinda? But probably not for their purposes.
