The way I could rant about this book at this point.

Oh the miscommunications (or really lack there of) tropes! Even so, I just want to keep reading this book. Sadly, life has been crazy and forcing me to actually be productive at home leaving less time to read than I’d like.

I’ve enjoyed the other KH books I’ve read, but most were slow for me to get into. The Great Alone has me intrigued pretty early on.

What’s funny is that I came home from Alaska and the Yukon last year craving a historical fiction book about the Yukon gold rush. (Please recommend if you know one.) This isn’t it, but it’s at least giving some of those vibes.

Such a quick read/easy listen. Determined to finish by the end of the month.

Here for it so far. The set up happened so quickly though that I’m really wondering what fake-dating antics I’m in for for 200+ more pages.

Only a day into this one and really enjoying it. But why does it seem like every book I read lately has a massive grief-driven plot line???

Really enjoying the audiobook version, which I usually do for memoirs.

The last few chapters have thankfully picked up so Crosby had to leave the ridiculous amount of similes in the exposition.

I dk about this one, but listening on audio and not sure I’m really feeling the narrator.

This book give The Sound of Music the Saving Mr. Banks treatment.

I always enjoy her books, but none have captivated me as much as the Perez sisters.

Honestly not sure why I’m still reading except it’s a short book so I’m almost there.

Through 39% in just one day (round trip commute). Enjoying it, but couldn’t tell you why. Definitely recommend the audio version.

Anyone else find it incredibly cringe when a book/show/movie uses the title in dialogue?? No? Just me? Cool. Enjoying this book a lot, but she’s done it twice now.

This is my first age-gap romance and it's really just giving me Down Bad vibes. "Everything comes out teenage petulance." YUP

Also my first Ali Hazelwood. Happy to report I'm enjoying her writing so far.

The are so. many. characters.

Someone tell me this gets better. Feels like it’s gearing up to be another Kristin Hannah book where I hate all the characters, wonder why I’m still reading (at least I know it’s book club this time) and still find myself ugly crying at the end.

I officially dislike all the characters that remain, but like any reality competition show, I’ve come to far to stop reading now.
