Well, I didn't really look at this book before grabbing it up on Libby. This is actually a parenting book. (We just watched Mean Girls and saw that it was based on this book, my knee-jerk reaction "I shouldn't read this!" 🤦‍♀️) I probably should have read this when my girls were still in school!

I am heartbroken over this story. Jeanette obviously overcame this crazy dysfunctional abusive family situation, but I am struggling to finish this book so that I can know how. I can't imagine how one survives this.
