Sometimes it can be a bit confusing because there is no defined break in present day vs past memories. I feel like they need better paragraph breaks.

Feeling bad for alien spider being.

I can see poor Andy trying to dumb science stuff down for me, but if I’m real he could say any old thing and I would just accept it as fact. And it’s tricky because it’s like faux science right? Like there are no astrophages so what does it matter if I understand it or not?

The idea of stepping out into space in an unknown solar system fills me with a visceral dread. I knew I didn’t like sci-fi for a reason.

I have never like sci-fi but Andy Weir does it well because he makes it personable.
