Hmm, the narrative structure of this - the fact that it’s chronological and not as written- I’m not sure I’m 100% following along with the side plot with Seward or with Mina. We’ll see how it all shakes out!

Ok finally this came off of a library hold, I’m going to give it one more try since everyone else loves it

I’m taking a pause on this one, I didn’t really get into it so maybe after some summer fluff I’ll feel more serious or less bitchy… let’s see how it goes

Ok I can’t STAND this narrator but I’m not sure if it’s an annoying author being read by an annoying person, or if it’s just the narration that’s making me hate every single one of these women. Onto the list for the ebook instead I guess, so see you later

Tatiana Maslany is an excellent narrator

I had to give up on this audiobook, it is SO poorly narrated. Every character speaks in the same accent which is somehow Italian and Scandinavian rolled into one (???) and the girls speak in this grating falsetto. As the book goes on their voices sound more and more alike so I can barely discern who is the one talking. I guess I’ll wait the 10 weeks for the ebook, or maybe I’ll just not finish it altogether

Ok, second thoughts on the narrator, she isn’t the same person who read ADOW, but might as well be. Ridiculous accent work is my audiobook nemesis

Whyyyyyy does every man in this book have such a bad temper? Also I didn’t realize that the narrator also did A Discovery of Witches, which is terrible, but instead of giving her characters any personalities, she just gives them accents. I’m for sure going to change to book format for the next one, a bad narrator ruins the action so much

I mostly really loved Will Patton reading the Raven Cycle but his “British(???)” accent for Hennessy is just terrible. I keep getting secondhand embarrassment listening to it

Stick to that lovely broad southeastern accent, my brother, and I’ll even forgive you for being a man, reading me a book.

Even though I wasn’t a fan of Jennifer Ikeda’s all-over-the-place pronunciations, I definitely preferred her as a narrator

Great idea, lacklustre delivery... what could have been a fun story was bogged down by ridiculous romance and a total Mary Sue character - the most beautiful and charismatic and creative woman in the universe and she can’t get a boyfriend?
It’s also so poorly written, for more than a second I thought the angel was her dad, so.

Once they snapped the wishbone and the memories flooded in, I bailed.
