When I tellest thou that I am DEVOURING this book, I meaaaan it.

The way this reads is entertaining enough to look past the contemporary colloquialisms, which is my pet peeve in any high fantasy (which this is). And that where I notice them, they’re a small speed bump as opposed to totally taking me out.

I’ve spotted the twist / reveal a mile off. I’m kind of bummed that I’m not loving this book as much as I did the first. Dare we call the curse of middle book syndrome?
