I like this...reboot? The vibe is Caveman Alien meets Last of the Mohicans. Maybe I'm the only one that doesn't like the dragons in this series (although I love R Dixons dragon series), so I'm glad to read a fee books sans dragon leads (I looked ahead in the series and know they'll be back ugh)

I feel like the lady lead is too good for the Sorcerer buy let's see how Cole does this!

Duuuuude, that is creepy af childhood story. Like, Swamp Thing meets Creepshows The Raft 😨 which legit freaked me out as a child

I was right about the blurb spoiling a tiny thing about the Moms stuff. Aunt Honey is hilarious. I picked up on that tragedy in mom's youth, which just so happened to be when she made her first 'companion' Also, the state of the house when her parents left (fled??!) Do we have a Frankenstein monster turning on it's creator? Just a theory based on bread crumbs. Book is mostly dealing with baby bro vs bigsis dynamic
