Oh great that’s nice and ominous…

This is such an interesting play. And likely a very formative play for O’Neill… the sea and personifying it so clearly. The language is really fun to work your brain around too.

Didn’t think I’d be a fan of this but I really enjoyed it. Can’t say I agree with the ending but at least Anna didn’t shoot herself which was probably the cliche of the day.

Surprised how much I’m enjoying this. It’s dense in language but that’s what I’m finding so engaging. Especially scenes with Mat Burke and Chris Christophersob. Oh boy changing dialects left and right

Oh man that one hurt. I really would love to see this stages. I’m kind of in love with the written inner thoughts. It’s a very simple plot which feels incredibly full of life.

Oh man oh wow. Not what I expected. What a strange poetry Wallace Shawn has with his language. It’s so creepy and delightfully human.

Wow… I mean not at all expected. Strange how he can capture my attention through just three monologues. A play of soliloquy’s by bunnies and rats… masterful

Wow probably one of my favorite plays of all time

I’m starting to see why this is called the modern female hamlet. Hedda is such an interesting character. Her motives remain unclear except through some subtext, but everything she does still feels within her character. Loving it so far.

Damn whoever changed up the Ghola reawakening process to “just kick the shit out of the kid and he’ll get it” Is crazy. However, I do prefer it to last book’s ghola reawakening which felt a little played up.

It’s interesting how the narrative is constructed in almost a cycle of generations many thousands of years apart. Making the same terrible mistakes all over again. However this story now benefits from a mountain of world building that comes before it. Thousands and thousands of years before it. I’m most curious of why Herbert believed the works of Ben Gesserit and mentats should continue. What does it show?

A perfect work in progress. I’m so curious about the editing an structuring of Kafka max did. How much was truly edited outside what was there. It’s just such an inspirational piece that works almost like a tongue twister for the brain.

Man this just spins your brain in circles. I love the part where K discusses court procedures with the painter and he says his head hurt afterwards and I felt like I was really in the story cause my head hurt too.

I cannot believe that it has taken me this long to get to one of Kafka's novels. It truly is a treat to sit in his world and wade through the discomfort of his language. I really am in awe of how his narrative arcs from chapter to chapter. The spiraling of the characters reminds me of of how I tend to write the first draft of my characters. Spinning in the mud of action unable to get out.

What a phenomenal story. Getting to read this again and absorb the narrative knowing everything to come makes this story even more delightful. The power of human perception.

He wrote this in French but my head hurts in English

First hundred was great, second hundred was mess of connecting all the storylines together, but now I see the end in sight. Definetly going to be finish this very quickly. So sad I’m close to the end of the sprawl :(

An incredibly thorough read. A nice break from a lot of the math and science I have been drudging through. This book holds the curse of coming out just as we were taking our next big step (published 2021); however, I think it helped me understand the infrastructure and culture in place today that has caused the AI craze. I recommend it for those curious about the business rather than science.

Finally getting to modern day technique and model building. Great book, incredibly thorough, just very heady stuff. Christian’s voice is very strong and never feels too heady or superior. A great guide through the different models.

Yeah wow… I’m floored. This book is insane… 1981 are you fucking kidding me?? Frank Herbert was such a remarkable genius.

We’re back into the dune universe and it’s SO GOOD. I’m glad I picked it up and also waited and so long. Frank Herbert is such a fascinating writer
