I am increasingly frustrated by the Reverend Mother's antagonism towards the police. First she's insisting that Camile's baby is a miracle birth because she couldn't possibly be raped or have voluntary sex, now when people question Sister Agnes she jumps on the defensive so fast that she accuses the police of trying to sully the nun's name. And the writing isn't clear whether the author agrees.

I'm calling that Camile was being abused by her family.
