Shaji is finished with The Rebel and the Kingdom: The True Story of the Secret Mission to Overthrow the North Korean Regime
When Kim Jong-nam was murdered in Kuala Lumpur, where I reside, it was hard not to notice how some world governments machinated with the then corrupt regime of Najib Tun Razak (of the infamous 1MDB scandal) in Malaysia, to downplay the story.

I hope this book is the spark that will keep the fire alight for Free Joseon and the many volunteers like Adrian Hong and Christphoer Ahn, behind it.

Inexorably entertaining and informative at the same time, the author wizzes us past 70,000 years answering those fundamental questions we Homo sapiens should be asking but often don’t - who are we, where did we come from, why are we here, where are we heading to, and most importantly, what do we want to want?

hard to go on when the book is littered with hyphens replacing quotation marks/double apostrophes....

Doesn't matter what page I'm on but I'm giving up three fourth into it. I agree with other reviewers who too felt she had bypassed an editor here.

That said, I feel there was a story worth telling. That of a mixed race South African couple who fought side by side against apartheid and came through unscathed, only to discover there were bigger battles ahead at home and around them.

A wasted effort.

I'm finding it difficult to read another page. Having said that, I loved his first book he should've stuck to periodic tales. This I may abandon soon.
