this is just the book i needed to really pull me out of my reading slump omggggg 😩😩😩

ohhhhhh so maybe that’s why he was so obsessed with her (not that it makes it right)

the plot twists are plot twisting

PEGGY?!? i can see the one scenario but not the other… i have no words

thank god grant remembers and that daniella told the officer everything. wish lucas had kicked the buckets but oh well, he’s where he belongs otherwise

chapter 28 was roughhhhh

chapter 24 is making me uncomfortable🥴 and i truly hate lucas

not grant😭😭😭

“As I walk back into the living room, holding the tray, hobbling without my cane, I see feathers scatters across the floor and on the sofa, and shreds of fabric from my pillow lie discarded on the carpet… ‘You ruined everything,’ Lucas spits as I carry the tray to the table.”

okay so lucas is a 40 something year old man child, got it, as if it wasn’t already obvious

“don’t take this the wrong way, but it’s not just about what you want”

LESLEY YOU BITCHHHHHH UGHHHH

“sweetheart, i’d like you to meet my new gym buddy, lucas”

omfgggggg lucas you’re an actual psychopath

grant is being sus now and i don’t like it lol

i’m onto you, lucas😑🤔

daniella you dumb bitch 😭

chapter 1 already tearing me apart, jesus christ

we’re not gonna talk about this, okay? great

the woman was too stunned to speak

i really should be sleeping but how tf am i supposed to stop reading after that last line of chapter 22?!?

“nothing has ever come close to your, reverie. you’re everything i never want to lose again.”

😭

“you signed over your soul to me, and i have every intention of collecting.”
“god fucking help me.”
“he won’t. you can’t make a deal with the devil, and then expect god to save you from it, darling.”
