Not my book—my husband’s. I don’t know how it got on this list. It’s so not my area.

I have a soft spot for quirky books and time travel books are one of my favorite tropes. But this one didn’t do much for me. Oona was silly and never inspired empathy, probably because she felt like a story construct, not like someone I might really relate to. But I read it, and really, it wasn’t bad. I might have expected too much.

Nice old-fashioned story with some mystery and a quirky family backstory. Good.
