60 pages in and exasperated. Instead of focusing on information and facts, the consistent attacks on feminism as the apparent boogeyman are detracting from the content. Also, after the claim early on that women commit the “majority of child homicides” which is patently untrue by any statistics I could find, leaves me wondering how many of her other claims are as well.

No. I give up 20 pages in. The synopsis sounded good, I hated the writing. I feel like I was reading Rocky Flintstone’s version of a Italian period story. Just no.

I honestly can’t decide whether to abandon this now or not. I really hate leaving books unfinished, but this guy apparently has no idea what “non-fiction” is, despite claiming that everything he wrote was completely factual, which is baloney. Instead, this mess of a book is more like historical fiction erotica, it’s outright gross at times and clearly a product of his oversexed imagination rather than fact.

It took a little while to get started, with a lot of unnecessary detail at times, but now I am totally engrossed in the story!

I can't understand all the 4 & 5 star reviews of this book. It's shit. I'll save my comments on why until the end, but seriously? crap!
