This is a review of Volumes 1-4 of this series.

It’s is an enjoyable tale within the Star Wars universe with the anti-hero Dr Aphra. However, this series seems more cartoon-y in art and story. Mildly disappointing to go that route with such an interesting and complex character. I’ll continue reading, but it’s not a must-read.

So this was not a collection of unique Elseworlds Batman stories. Rather it was one Vampiric retelling of Batman. It was interesting, but the art wasn’t my jam. If you like vampire mythos and Batman, then give it a read. If not, you aren’t missing out.

Four stars might be generous - but I just love anything Guy Delisle does. This isn’t a classic like his works on North Korea, Jerusalem, and Burma; but it is his trademark slice-of-life musings from a unique world that I knew nothing about. Borrow this from your library, but also check out his other works.
