I read 40% (70 pages) in the first sitting if that says anything. Hint: It does.

The first half was fascinating. The second half was kind of slow & I had to put it aside a few times. Glad I finished it, though.

I needed a pallet cleanser. This was perfect in that respect. Very cute.

I love this book! It seems simple & lighthearted but it’s actually multilayered and quite thought provoking.

I usually don’t like romances but I read this for 2 reasons. 1) It’s historical fiction and I do like that. 2) My grandmother’s name is Laura Sweeney.

I thought I had the murder all figured out and was just waiting to see how it all got tied together. But no! This morning there was such a huge twist that I almost had to pull my car over to compose myself and wrap my head around it.

Forget any other plans I had for after work, (By "plans" I mean reading one of the hardcovers I'm working on.) I'm going to finish this book!
