Wow the first couple chapters were so intriguing and then I felt like I was transported to different book. I dnf’d about 30% in… maybe I’ll try again another day but i fear my run with romantasy has come to a close

Dnf - I’m sad, I loved this as a teen but it does not hold up

I have a tbr miles long but why not listen to lord of the rings instead?

Slooogging through. I’m so frustrated that it’s told in first person and somehow I am very aware of everything going on and the narrator has no idea. I also feel like her personality, which was a little underdeveloped to begin with, has suddenly disappeared on me. And the Mmc. I just don’t want to keep reading, but I will trudge on.
