it's amazing how simple the writing is and how complex the show makes it seem
loved getting an inside look at what's going through shane and ilyas minds, but yes the writing style still bores me. yes it makes it a light read and yes i guess that's not really what people are here for with this genre but hoo boy

would i be reading this if it wasn't for the show? probably not

i feel like. i feel like i am a bit Over some of the concepts in YA/new adult(?) novels? like ohhh we're escaping this world, ohhh the houses are giving me hunger games districts, ohhh the narrator is so Dark and Edgy and Not Like The Others BUT ! i will say the sword duels got me. intrigued to see where this goes
