Still loving this - of course, identity is at the core of this, as so often in Priest's novels.

Oh, man. I have been struggling badly with this. It is classic Heinlein, which is both good and (sometimes very) bad. There has only been one major instant of Heinlein invoking the suggestion of underage sex, so far, between an old man (the narrator) and a girl of fifteen, I believe (or was it thirteen?). However, Lolita this isn't. I need to put the book aside for a while and come back when I have the courage.

Really enjoying this so far! Priest is the Herge of writers. His writing is a joy to read for its clarity and vividness. And, of course, I am being inexorably pulled into the central mystery of the book.

Slow going, as ever, for me. I hope I have gotten through the creepy sex scene, already. Robert really had a tin ear for appreciating how his ideas on "free love" come across in his book.
