this book is so disturbingly yet beautifully written. i’m savoring this.

Her writing is riveting and compulsive!

“I feel so frightened of being hurt-not the suffering, which I know I can handle, but the indignity of suffering, the indignity of being open to it.” Rooney. Yup goodnight. My brain will be occupied unpacking this sentence for further notice.

Re-reading this. It’s been a couple of years and I certainly did not appreciate or understand this book as much in my younger 20’s as I do now at the cusp of my thirties.

I’ve never cried so hard in my entire life’s …. gut wrenching …. Omg I’m not well

Maybe bc I’m listening to the audiobook but so far I’m not feeling this one but going to power through

They reference Baldwin’s ‘Giovanni’s Room’ so much, I need to read it right after this!

Reading this might be a mistake…. It’s so cringy I literally fell asleep reading it last night. Only reading this bc I’m excited for book 3

Fun lil audio book
