I’m having a great time but then the word “ballas” creeps in and I get annoyed. I haven’t heard anyone call a professional NBA player a “balla” since the early 2000s

I like the story and where it’s going but I’m cringing at some of the dialogue.

This book feels like when you’re on the last 10 seconds of a workout but don’t think you can go any longer :/

Naomi West does this thing with her books where the pace picks up at the last 100 pages. You don’t want to put the book down but you just KNOW once it’s finished the 2nd book in the duet will be so so juicy! I’m so close to being finished but I know once I pick up book 2 I will not put it down.
