Loving this

I can’t stand this book. If the only way to get people to care about trees is to analogize them to humans, we are doomed. The constant anthropomorphization buries the rare, actually interesting tidbit about trees underneath a barrage of childish fluff.

Listening to the audiobook on long drives. Easy to stay awake with this eye opening account of American history!! I’m shocked by how much I’m learning about the early years (ok let’s be real, first century and a half) of this country. Feels like this should be required reading in schools
