Thoughts: bro come on if you give me a mother daughter relationship i WILL cry never mind the aliens.

Finished: "Division by Zero"

Thoughts: an examination of human connection told through the lens of mathematics and a fraying relationship. logic vs. emotion. empathy. understanding each other despite different ways of thinking (and yet sometimes shared experience is not enough). 5/5 stars.

Next: "Story of Your Life"

Finished: “Understand”

Thoughts: if i have to read the word “gestalt” one more time i’ll puke. other thoughts…intelligence and hubris are always intertwined. inward vs outward thinking. holy power trip. mind boggling exploration of the human mind, consciousness, and, subtly, morality. 5/5 stars.

Next: “Division By Zero”

Thoughts: hm like the opposite of flowers for algernon and potentially just as catastrophic

Finished: “Tower of Babylon”

Thoughts: read two pages and thought i knew precisely where this was going. lo and behold i was mostly right but there’s a pleasant twist to what i expected. enjoyed the storytelling immensely. 3.5/5 stars

Next: “Understand”

Ok I know I’ve been lacking on reading for like a month 💀 just need some escapism to get back into it 😇
