I just realized that this book ends at 53%--second time in two weeks this has happened to me. What is with these publishers filling half the book with excerpts and extras?

WOW, I'm like six books behind rating and reviewing. Need to get caught up, but the summer blahs have me in their fiendish clutches.

So leaving for our family vacation today--my youngest is having his Bar Mitzvah!--and won't be around for a week or so. Told the kids we're on a strict 'unplugged" policy so I intend to keep to that which means no checking in on Goodreads, FB, Tumblr etc. Hope all of you are enjoying the lazy last days of summer--or winter for friends in the Southern Hemisphere. OMG!!! it's like you take all the telenovelas ever made, distil them into one novel and the set it loose on unsuspecting smut readers like myself. seriously, these revelations! I can't even.

This is so effing good. Can't stop laughing.

I love how every one of them independently names there "brain-pal" computer "asshole," "dipshit," "dickwad" and the like.

Like a lot of people I was really disturbed by the recent mess about the Hugo awards. I decided it was high time I checked out some of the books by Octavia Butler. So glad I did.

I am loving this book!
