and in the book of my life, please include a chapter like the one about sinatra in this. what i gathered from this reading alone was they were extremely toxic, he was broke and out of a job, and she made her boss put a “sinatra” clause in her contract to keep her broke ass boyfriend afloat

i have an aversion to poetry, but an even greater hatred for doomscrolling. i take the greatest shower of my life, throw on my fluffy, emerald robe, and lay down in bed.

i could scroll, or i could read. this poetry book has been sitting next to my bed for weeks. i grab a pencil (a god damn wooden pencil) and begin annotating. i get six poems in before i am absolutely floored.

i like poetry.
