I'm at a loss with this book so far. Love Ann Patchett's writing, especially her recent titles (Commonwealth, The Dutch House, Tom Lake). Plus, Bel Canto seems to be a highly rated book of hers. However, I feel like I've just been dropped into the middle of a story in progress. And I'm wondering why all of the male characters are in love or falling in love with opera singer Roxanne Cross?

Why hasn’t Cope gotten any therapy? A whole lifetime of guilt 🤦🏻‍♀️

Cope: Colson sibling, hockey player who carries past guilt around and has someone trying to ruin his hockey career/life.
Sutton: single mom, bakery owner, boss to Cope’s sister Thea, running from ex who is an athlete with addiction problems and who owes money to bad guys.

So good being in the DC Stars universe again.
