Finished book one! Okay, the stories seem to be converging a bit. I keep expecting for more big dramatic things to happen, but they are being revealed slowly and deliberately. I like it but omg another 22 hours of listening to this is… a lot.

Rereading a lovely little depressing book I loved in college!

Wow, this was a powerful one. Definitely a must-read for those of us who are willing to reckon with our assumptions and our privileges and looking to learn more.

This book is going to revolutionize the way I teach. Full stop.

I’m rereading this under the impression that Holden Caulfield is a closeted gay boy, and suddenly it’s making a whooooole lot more sense. He’s still insufferable, but at least I have a clearer idea of where it’s all coming from.

Omg this was amazing! Get the audiobook! RAW narrates it AND plays fantastic music during it! 10/10! Brought up great convo about Black exceptionalism and how amazing he truly is, with one of his former students in our book club!
