read the time machine for a book club. it was nice that it was a short read. the way wells imagines a future “without necessity” is interesting. the timing for me to read this was fortuitous, because i’m currently watching pleribus as well, and i feel like the two dovetail a bit topically. i also enjoy reading older works where the language hasn’t been altered to fit the current vernacular.
