I'm so close to DNF-ing this book and it breaks my heart. I couldn't wait to read this novel but, while beautifully written, it's all over the place and quite light in terms of plot. What am I missing here?

This book isn't comparable to the previous stories in Karen White's Tradd Street series. A little disappointed so far...

I'm enjoying the suspense but this girl is incredibly annoying with her constant interrogations. She needs to chill for a second...

This book is a bit annoying. All through the first chapter and second, it's a constant theme of Andie living inside her own head. Andie cant think, Andie can't speak, Andie can't move, Andie can't breathe. We get it, Andie lives in her own head and is mostly useless, along with her mother repeatedly saying her name. I hope it picks up from here.

The storyline jumps back and forth too often without any of the characters really doing much. At 200 pages in, nothing significant or halfway interesting has even come about and the characters are flat.

I'm finding that I am not really connecting to the characters. While the writing is witty and funny at times, I find myself skimming through. Has anyone else read this? Any thoughts?

This is an achingly depressing story. It's beautifully written but is dripping with despair. I'll read a bit more and see if anything worthwhile happens otherwise it's going to be a DNF soon.

A bit of a backstory behind the beloved tale and movie. I'm loving this so far!

This books is interesting to see what Ms Woolf was thinking and feeling during the writing of her novels and such, but it's a very slow read. It'll take me a while!

I have about 40 pages to go but I honestly could do with out Nina's character. Or, to make that statement more realistic, I could do with a lot less of her in this book as she really seems to dominate pages and pages with abundant detail. I enjoy Jordan's character, Tony adds life and I enjoy the chase of finding The Huntress but after a strong start, it's been bogging down.

This is such a beautifully written and epic story. I'm taking my time to absorb it all, this time around.
