why are all the men in this book just kind of omnipresently misogynistic. I get that many men are like this but it’s almost concerning that the author makes it such a notable thing.

Libby wait times are killing my momentum here. To the one other person who is reading this book at the Brooklyn Public Library: please give up for a bit.

This book deserves its praise

can’t decide if i should have read this as a paper book or not. there’s bits that are so odd read aloud and lots of footnotes in sections so that’s a little tough to follow but it’s also well read and I appreciate how varied the tone of the author is with the varied intensity of the writing.

this narrator is doing some incredible accent work - every character is from a different place and the conversations are a minefield of accents but it’s very followable!
