I’m from Bloomington, went to IU and a true crime nerd. This book should be for me but instead I’m finding myself overly annoyed by the author messing up details. If he messes up little things how can I trust him to get the story right? He claims to be a “man on the streets” type reporter but OMG it’s Chief Diekhoff not Diethoff. You’ve reported on this story for a decade now dude.

This book is awful. And yet I slog on.

Nothing has happened so far.

Loving this so far

I don’t enjoy memoirs that read like “this thing happened.” “then this thing happened.” Which is how this is written. I’m now speed-reading but it’s a bit of a let down.
