I love how Joan describes how other women think about each other

I feel like nothing’s happened, yet I can’t stop reading. I like the way that little bits of Joan’s life come into the storytelling as if she were having actual thoughts. She’ll be thinking about fucking a man and then switch to olives in Italy. I feel like I’m literally in her mind, shifting around her memories.

Pretty easy read so far. Like mulan but with some extra meat to it
