A fantastic and to a long trilogy. Not for the faint of heart. Had to break it up into manageable chunks

Truly the cat version of Marley and Me, this memoir does a miraculous job of highlighting the life of a cat owner. Brown opens her soul to the reader, inviting us to learn our lessons from the beauty and tragedy that exists all around us

Lauren is finished with Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1)
A recommendation from a college friend, this book was a good YA Novel, although I probably would have preferred it more as a YA. While the plot was fantastic and the world it exists in fascinating, the author is clearly a first-time novelist. I may not have noticed the awkward stanzas or cliche character interactions if I was the author's demographic. Recommended for YA only

Lauren is finished with Cleopatra's Daughter
Such a good read! Moran does a fantastic job of highlighting Selene as not just a woman stuck in a difficult situation, but a ruler with a centered moral compass. Thoroughly enjoyed the Afterword although I almost would have rather she wrote books about each of the characters endings so I could experience more than just a paragraph of their remaining stories. Highly recommend!

This is the point in the book that I give it 1 star. The character I was rooting for turns out not to deserve my praise and there is no one left that I connect with anymore. While the book is well written it is dark to the point of not being worthy of my time or attention

I was really loving this book when I started but now the main character is irritating me. She’s supposed to be solving a case but she’s been overly emotional and has a much stronger connection to her clients than I think plausible. Plus, she’s acting more like a narrator than a detective, letting the police do all the work

Lauren is on page 7 of 236 of Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again
An incredible book for people with traditional evangelical backgrounds who are beginning to question the Bible of people who have walked away from the word and are seeking to return to the faith but have a mind loaded with doubt. This book is designed for the intellectual but is engaging in a way few other books about the Bible are!
