My PI gave me this as a gift and I finally have the chancs to read it right before I head out to Appledore Island to sample Great Black Backed Gulls as part of my dissertation work. Wow are gulls amazing its a joy to see part of their world.

This book is a great overview of the current methodology for dealing with genetic sequences. It is written very well and is a great introduction. Im reading it alongside Yang's 2014 "Molecular Evolution: A Statistical Approach" and they complement each other well.

This is already an amazing book. The authors have a excellent way of explaining complex topics in clear and concise language. Highly recommend.

Wow Loons are amazing!!!! Did you know their long yodel calls are have lower frequencies so the sound waves can bend around/through the different air densities on the surface of the lake they swim on. I sure didnt but that is just so cool!!

Down with the frequentists up with the Bayesians ;)

This book is great. The author does a good job explaining these complex topics but with useful examples and my favorite part real data!
