Received an eARC through Netgalley. So excited to start this one!!

accidentally borrowed this bc i didn’t realize i already owned it lol

dnf for now — i need to be in a better mindset when i eventually ready this. i will read it eventually though!!

i went from reading a book every day or two to suddenly spending 2 weeks on this. so far it’s not as compelling as the first in the series. but we’re sticking it out! i have faith in samantha shannon.

also life just got kinda crazy lol so i havent had time to read as much. and i was trying to annotate this all cute but might need to stop with that since it’s so time consuming.

DNF at roughly 30%. Not due to the quality of this book, life just got too busy. I’ll try to come back to this in the future.

already this is a slower start than shadow and bone. starting to get franchise fatigue (is that a term? did i make that up?)... but supposedly this duology is even better than s&b, so i'll keep at it!
