This is truly incredible. almost in tears by edmond / mercedes / albert

caderousse was dying and edmond revealed who he was to him, causing caderousse to literally drop dead in that moment and the chapter ending in edmond exclaiming ONE…. absolutely gagged

caderousse now has a floor plan of edmonds house… why do I feel like edmond masterminded this happening

haven’t seen edmond in 60 pages, hope he’s good. he has indirectly killed 1.5 people in the meantime though

officially halfway through… everyone is baffled by Edmond, most chapters are ending with a character thinking “hm this guy is quite peculiar”, he’s never beating the vampire allegations and I’m starting to lose track of all the characters. I need a character map

Edmond is truly a mastermind… like wdym he’s moved into the house of the father in law of one of the guys he’s seeking revenge on???

edmond is kind of giving jay gatsby vibes, except hes been compared to a vampire... lmaooo

Wait so Edmond was smoking weed (or something of the sorts in the 1830s/40s or whatever) in the cave at Monte Cristo with anyone that rocks up on the shoreline, has about 4 publicly fake names, and we got Aladdin references? I’m having a blast

this book has made me chuckle out loud numerous times, it’s incredible
