Reading for the Chart Toppers genre of this summer’s reading challenge

Reading for the summer reading challenge in the fantasy genre.

Cozy little mystery that’s reminiscent of something Angela Lansbury would star in. Not too long, not too creepy, just a distraction that won’t keep you up with nightmares while providing a distraction from the day.

First book of the new year-sweet, a bit nostalgic. I read the 1st book in this series last year and loved that the series/some characters remind me of an adult (-ish) version of the Redwall books I think everyone in my family has read and enjoyed over the last 3 generations. This one wasn’t as engaging to me as the first book in the series, but I owe it nostalgia to keep on going!

Just the ridiculous, action packed, salty nonsense I needed to get through this crazy time of year when I can’t concentrate on anything educational and just want to turn off my brain for a bit. Exhaustingly goofy.

Good lord! Can your teeth hurt from a book? This one was so syrupy sweet that it wouldn’t surprise me-100% sappy, so just be warned!

Blah! Credit taps for being a trailblazer in the genre. That’s it from me. No, thanks.

Lost it before the last short story. Not good enough to care.

Oh no! The trigger warning for this should have made me immediately stop reading but I like this author so I kept going. Ugh. This one was not a good choice for me.

Pretty interesting tale and characters. There’s a lot going on but it kept me following along. Definitely makes me want to try some of that cake!

Wow! A true book for the lover of books and library tales! It wasn’t my favorite but it certainly had its moments that transported me into all the best moments I loved about being in the library! And wow-it was well researched!
