Ugh! What a waste. The initial premise that you can read on the back cover has such potential. Frozen wasteland horror story that has an element of archeology dating back to the time of the Old Testament. Sounds pretty cool! But then you have a cast of completely unlikeable characters. And a plot so uninspired it belongs on the CW. I can’t. I give up on this book.

I’m a bit torn with this book. On the one hand, I really like the main characters. But having read the author’s previous two books with the over all vibe and overarching storylines, I feel that this particular book is out of place. Had the author written this story as a novella, or maybe even reformatted it title to not have any sort of tie with the previous two books, I think I would’ve been more accepting.
