Okay so been on the fence abt reading this one and yesterday went to my local library and was flicking thru some pages and was like ooooo should I??????? And then closed the book, only to reopen to a random page, and saw a quote about a gold ring on the dudes cock and next thing u know im on the bus reading this book. LFG

this book hurts ... a lot.. :(((( (still recommend it tho!! Just get ready to feel all ur feels

that chapter was so fucking bittersweet... but im really glad that these two are actually communicating their feelings and thoughts and willing to give this a shot knowing the fact that there is so much at risk

I just keep thinking abt that famous painting where Icarus is falling because of getting way too close ,,, and this author really is doing a great job at portraying this between Icarus and Poseidon... like ofc i want them to be together but u cant help but also understand inner monologue of Icarus and just the many internalised self loathing and conflicting thoughts...

the fucking emotional whiplash i am experiencing rn... bruh.. ngl irdk what i was expecting from this book, but relating to both Icarus and Poseidon defs wasn't on my radar... this is only my second Katee Robert book so I'm not entirely sure of her writing style, but imo she does have a really nice way of portraying complex layered emotions and really getting the reader to see stereotypical surface layer responses

Reminding myself that these two are literallt captive x captor... and NOT lovers ...
