I'm... not really seeing why people love Sinclair so much. I'm not a huge fan of his analysis of these amazing chapters from John. It feels like he reads too much into certain aspects of the text while missing some of the more obvious points that feel worth talking about.

Anyways, maybe it'll get better as it goes on. *shrugs*

This is not at all what I expected.
In "Anne of Green Gables", L.M. Montgomery seems in love with the world and everyone in it... in this book, everything is ugly and everyone is a jerk. (Our main character is quickly becoming one of the biggest jerks of them all).
Hopefully, it gets better.
