Oh, shit!
If you know Bengal and Bengali (language) please don't read this book in its English translation. No, I don't mean to say that this translation is bad. Actually, it's good.
But, certain things are untranslatable. And a lot of this book belongs to that exalted category. Imagine an English translation of Abol-Tabol!

Because of the format (letters to and fro, carefully, apparently casually but chronologically arranged) I found it rather difficult to connect. But now I'm suddenly in. It's turning out to be a good read.
I don't know what to make of it, but so far seven authors have been written about. What got me going is the discussion about State of Wonder (Ann Patchett) and Never Let Me Go (Kazuo Ishiguro). Well, I'm hooked.

Finished reading 'Chak Bhanga Modhu' and 'Mrityur Chokhe Jal'.
