Caryn Olney is 99% done with The Silversmith (The Selvaren, #1)
The MMC is the “I’ll kill anyone who looks at you” and I think I’d rather have a man who would be good, kind, pursuit to improve humanity for his love so this gave me a bit of an ick. Plus the age dispute is constant and that’s icky too. I’m over FMCs being children.

I’d love to be a tea monk.
The point of this book is that it is ok not to have a purpose. It is ok to just exist like the other animals on this planet. Your worth is not dependent on what you do or what you accomplish.

The MMC is confusing. He’s introduced as a grumpy hard ass who like no one and nothing and now a bit over half way in his a soft hearted golden retriever???? Like what???

It’s a bit confusing now. A lot of the audiobook actors voices sound the same and the French words are totally unfamiliar.

Great conclusion! I really enjoyed that they went beyond the end of the war a little bit to show you what healing or what things changed after war and that was really cool
