This is torture.
This book is worse than I imagined. Extremely boring, nothing ever happens that has as any depth or meaning or significance.
I find myself preferring to read the womanizer unavailable old man’s story instead.

Why say it once when you can say it in 3 similar ways to fill pages?

How do I endure this yellowest of novels for my bookclub? Why did you do this to us? Would I finish 😒

I mean a 4/5 for a book about eggs because I never thought I would ever read one.

Yes, her assimilations and descriptions are amazing and the writing flows so easily but I just could not tolerate the self absorbed, rude, arrogant, shallow and petty sides of the character.

I might have given 4/5 if I hadn’t just read The adventures of Huckleberry Fin.
Still, quite interesting.

Reading for a book club this time 🙌

It’s page 251! Everybody knows you can write. Nobody wants a new side character introduced on page 251. Get to the ****ing point.
