Putting this down… an unfortunate DNF. I was excited to learn about the role women played in advancing the field of Egyptology and excited to be entertained by the stories of their discoveries. Instead I’m stopping over 1/4 of the way through as it’s clear this book defines these women primarily and maybe only by their sexual orientation and sexual relationships to one another. The book should be retitled.
