Why are there even vampires if they’re not leaning into them or presenting fun lore?

I try not to think about the insane age gap but I feel like Tella reads as much older and I wonder if she deaged her for YA purposes. Both her and Scarlett feel like they should be in their 20s. I wish they were, sixteen and eighteen with much older men is yikes to me personally but oh well hardly new in this genre

I wanted to like this but I agree with other reviewers, the main character was kind of ehhhhhh.

For someone writing a story about someone broken by infidelity, you would think you wouldn’t then write that character doing something similar???
