Rebecca is on page 12 of 416 of Prince's Gambit (Captive Prince, #2)
I promise I am reading this as slowly as humanly possible so I can actually read it at the beach as intended, but let's see if I can actually hold out or not.

Not to be dramatic, but this might already be the best book I’ve read this year and I’ve only read the introduction. Impeccable writing. Lyrical, raw, honest, and captures sentiments of family, culture, history and place. I am blown away and the only reason I’m pausing here is because I realize I need to buy my own copy immediately (the one I’m reading is from the library.)

Rebecca is reading The House in the Cerulean Sea (Cerulean Chronicles, #1)
maaaan. I was excited when my library hold became available (finally!)

started reading it, made it to chapter 3? was loving it.

added to "currently reading" only to find out it's SUPER problematic and inspired by Canada's Sixties Scoop. (Which, is when Indigenous children were forcefully removed from their homes and placed in orphanages) can non-BIPOC ppl stop profiting off BIPOC trauma pls??
