More astounding stories than modern sci-fi. Quite a few literary references.

Jammed up I really need a double-page view to compare English and Swedish versions of each poem. I tried the ARC in an old version of Adobe Degital Editions but facing pages don't face each other in the ARC.

Touch the holy relic. Pronounce the magic runes. See the lips move!
Prose poetry, some of the best Swedish poets translated to English. I'm reading a review copy from the publisher.

Beautiful black and white photos. Narrative of humans becomining closer to cats and feeling freer to express themselves in photographs.
Review copy has an old reference which seemingly isn't aware of autism.

I read it years ago. I've been inspired to re-read it after reading a biography of the author, My Brief History recently.

I've reached the limit. I keep hoping for insight into artificial intelligence but I keep coming up against objectionable innuendoes: a case of privileged views fail. It's a shame that the work is marred by ignorant ranting (again and again) against straw man caricatures. Especially as the objections the work is (seemingly) trying to refute can be refuted without resorting to fantasy.

Wilhelmina finds herself suddenly transported back in time to the 17th century in Middle Europe (and blames her bf). Fortunately her Grandma spoke an old dialect of German so she can communicate. Once she finds a friendly face, it's surprising she's sanguine about living in another time and place apart from everything she knows.

Standing at the door. It's not a door at all. It belongs to no religion. If you look straight ahead into the feeling of having to die, you will find freedom and relief.

Anyways, so why don't people wear hats anymore?
