Très dense vers la fin, je galère un peu pour le finir.

Ah, les poèmes continuent donc. Quelle superbe idée. (Non.)

Cela fait plusieurs fois que je ris (vraiment! ), puis quelques pages après, tout à coup, ma gorge se serre. Hâte de connaître la fin mais pour le moment c'est un régal.

Ce livre me fait découvrir que je n'aime pas les livres qui dialoguent ouvertement avec d'autres livres.

Est-elle vraiment obligée de citer de différents auteurs toutes les deux minutes. Cela devient usant.

Il se lit super bien mais ça fait deux fois que je tique, d'abord sur une métaphore en rapport avec les chiennes au Mexique et la description indifférente, sans cœur de la souffrance de ces animaux puis maintenant une remarque sur les "cas sociaux ". On peut apprécier un livre et ressentir une aversion envers son autrice, je suppose.

What kind of language is "West Slavic", mentioned by the author as if it were a separate langue rather than a language family? Which country is it supposed to be spoken in?

Does this get any better? The story is so rushed and everything is told instead of shown! I think I'm going to give it a rest for a while. So disappointed in this one.

"I wish I hadn't of laughed" - really, in a published book?? I already hate this novel but this makes it even worse.

The writing is absolutely dreadful, I don't know if I can stick with it until the end

I've been having fun reading this so far but it's not quite what I imagined? There's very little of the creepy violent stuff for the time being and it's really about the characters and the relationships between them. It's been good so far, just different than I thought!

Dotarłam do rozdziału o Jaroszewiczu i właśnie zauważyłam że będzie miał 70 stron??? aż tak mnie ta sprawa nie pasonuje ale ok... Wydaje mi się że dobry edytor powinien poprzycinać to i owo żeby książka była bardziej proporcjonalna. Poza tym styl pisania jest miejscami straszne chaotyczny.

I've been really enjoying this so far and it finally got me out of a reading slump!! I just feel like I know where the story is going and hope I'm wrong and it will be less predictable. Anyway, the urban fears it talks about are so real!

I'm not feeling Robert at all, really hope there's a dark and creepy twist coming up with him! This book is excellent for reading slumps as it's such a fast read, I'm not sure I will remember reading it in a couple of weeks though.

I've been loving this so far but now I feel like it's starting to become a bit repetitive. Hopefully something exciting will happen soon.

I've been a bit slow, but that is in no way the book's fault. I'm loving it! Seems really empowering to women and the story is just insane. For now it has not been difficult to keep up with all the different characters even though there are so many.

I've been enjoying this so much, I'm absolutely engrossed in this story! I understand it disturbed some folks, but can you imagine a world where we're only allowed to read books about perfect characters doing nice things? I'm much more interested in flawed characters anyway.

Wow, it's been really moody and well-written so far! I'm looking forward to finding out what will happen next. I can't wait 'till everybody moves to the island and things get properly dark. Fingers crossed that I can finally enjoy a thriller without analysing every single flaw. ;)

She... is creepy as all hell, wow.

The story is great but wow the POV is all over the place! we're supposed to follow the detective yet suddenly we're in the suspect's head and we know exactly how he's feeling? That is *to me* such a basic writing error... And so confusing to read. It's a pity because I like everything else!

Wow, it's been really addictive so far, I'm completely engrossed in this story! The writing is not perfect, but OK for this kind of book. I was so disappointed by some of the recent hit thrillers, hopefully this one will be much better.

So now Iwona, "the Polish woman" (flashbacks to "Ted Mosby, THE ARCHITECT") doesn't now what "mascara" means.

I think the author should be sentenced to a lifetime of making friends with Polish women. In the meantime, I feel inclined to subtracting a star or even two for this tomfoolery. (See Ruth Ware, now that's a hard English word!)

Thanks for that, Ruth Ware - all the Scandinavian members of the crew speak perfect English but as soon as someone's Polish, they have to be an incoherent mess. Jerk move, jerk move...

So she is a travel writer and she's also reaaally bad at geography! *giggles* *slaps the main character* Is it too much to ask for a competent and likeable narrator these days? The writing has been otherwise OK though so hopefully I'll enjoy it.

A lot of unnecessary detail and SO much telling instead of showing. Also, wow, this guy really does love the verb "abut".

omg those characters are all sooo unlikeable and the architect is just a pretentious douche, what do all these women see in him?? gross
