within the last few pages Sally Rooney and Mary Gaitskill got mentioned (authors I've read and enjoyed recently!). the writing style of this, not surprisingly, reminds me a lot of this. enjoying the dystopian feeling so far.

really hoping this builds up some more tension soon and still surprises me? quite frankly its so far not lived up to my expectations

actually finished it already but waiting till after the seminar discussion to write the review (cannot make any sense of this)

reading this for uni and am already deeply disgusted by the main character (as expected). the writing is beautiful though

love how within the span of 10 days he goed from sending the cheesiest love letter ever to douglas to writing his friend: "the idea that he is wearing or in possesion of anything i gave him is repugnant to me". I'm loving the drama

I'm on a rereading every Sally Rooney book streak and this one is pleasantly surprising to me so far. I remember liking this one the least from the three but (maybe since I'm in the character's age group and same environment now) it has this strangely relatable and nostalgic feeling.

still got 200+ pages left and it's already terrible for all the characters wtf😭 also i am very glad i didn't read this book when i was 15 cause that would've been actually unhealthy for me

so far so good (i am expecting the worst of this book),

this is so entertaining and easy to read so far i love it

loving this so far

just a reread because this is my fave from all of the books

my thoughts so far:
- love the setting and the way of storytelling
- i have some problems with the pacing
- this has one of the slowest romance burns ever omg can they just kiss already????
